ljmatch time

Signing up for ljmatch is sort of like taking a much shortened version of one of the online MBTI tests (the standard "justice vs. mercy" question, for example). It's a neat way to compare personalities without having to go through a really long test (although the longer one would be more accurate, at least in theory). But how did they get 102%?? (hi, [livejournal.com profile] kviri! :))

I only did friends matching - I'm not sure how it would work for relationships. It depends on whether they use the theory that opposites work well in relationships (complementary) or whether they go for closest personality match (for me, I think I need to match on N, but the others could go either way).

Actually, now I'm curious - for people who filled out ljmatch and have taken an MBTI test (Keirsey Temperament Sorter, etc.) in the past, are you getting matched to others with the same personality type? I'm INfP (possibly INxP).

(If you haven't taken the MBTI / Keirsey test, the online one I used to use has been removed. There is a version at Keirsey.com, but you have to register on the site. The proper way to determine your type is with a real test, but I believe only psychologists and the like can administer it. I also have a few books with information, but it's hard to post those on the web. :) I'm always happy to loan them out by request. But then, I'm MBTI-crazy, or used to be, and would welcome someone else to talk to about it.)

(That's right - overthink a silly online test. Go me. [wryg])

Updated match results as of 6-08-03; Top three (well four, but two are tied) = 1. kviri, 2. chuckm, 3t. arawen, 3t. rigel )
