*boom boom boom boom* Welcome, new neighbors. It's nice to know that you like to play loud music with the bass cranked up starting at 8am. I probably wouldn't care so much except that all I can hear is the bass, which is reverberating through my fuzzy morning head. I used to think that this house was resistant to noise bleed, but either I'm wrong or that music is extremely loud.

Thank you for reminding me why we're going through the house search in the first place. I wanted to go to work early today anyway.

do you guys know is there any showingof housing prices goign down? they seme so overly inflated...

Dunno about "going down." Houses are still selling very fast. My friend Joan just sold her late mother's house in Cedarwood. It was on the market for 24 hours.

I'm not really sure how we'd know. There seem to be a lot of houses coming on the market still, but there's also a ton of demand. I guess I'd say house prices do not seem to be coming down at all, but it's complex, because some places are overpriced and do end up revising their prices downwards (but still usually are more than we want to pay). Anything in the price range we're looking at in the areas we prefer is still maniacally competitive (if the place is nice / has potential). I'd say sign up for a MLS listing, preferably one that shows listing price and actual selling price, to get a better idea of how much wiggle room there is in asking prices right now.

My sympathies... *hug* I've been woken up at ~7 AM the last two mornings by construction happening on Mystic Ave near our house - they have this thing (no idea what it does) that sounds from a 1/4 mile away like somebody rhythmically hammering on the roof across the street. :-\

(7 AM isn't that much earlier than I get up usually. But if they continue working over the weekend, I'm going to have an interesting challenge in remaining calm.)

Bleh. Sounds like our upstairs neighbors, except for the 8 am thing - who can listen to music that loud that early?
Hopefully your neighbors will be more reasonable about noise complaints than ours... and that you find a house soon. :)
