Sure, why not
Question meme from
meranthi
1. Your name spelled backwards: esyle - it's almost a palindrome!
2. Where were your parents born? Elmira, New York and Chicago, Illinois
3. What is the last thing you downloaded onto your computer? I think a music clip.
4. What's your favorite restaurant? Marche Movenpick, but I like the one(s) in Toronto a little more than the one in Boston; Zingerman's Deli in Ann Arbor.
5. Last time you swam in a pool? Wow, can't remember. It's been years.
6. Have you ever been in a school play? One in middle school (Shtetl Tales), one in high school (A Midsummer Night's Dream).
7. How many kids do you want? Eeep. Scary.
8. Type of music you dislike most? Generally country, rap, random blarings of sound and screaming that have no redeeming harmonious qualities (to my ears). But there are always exceptions.
9. Are you registered to vote? Yes.
10. Do you have cable? Yes.
11. Have you ever ridden on a moped? No.
12. Ever prank call anybody? No - telephones scare me.
13. Ever get a parking ticket? Yes - silly Watertown overnight parking laws.
14. Would you go bungee jumping or sky diving? I would be scared out of my mind, but sure. It's at least a good way to remind myself that I'm alive.
15. Farthest place you ever traveled? England - probably Northumberland is the farthest away.
16. Do you have a garden? No. I'd like one, even though I'd probably kill all the plants.
17. What's your favorite comic strip? I guess Dilbert - I really should read Sluggy and Megatokyo, though.
18. Do you really know all the words to your national anthem? I think the first verse.
19. Bath or Shower, morning or night? Shower - I like baths but the bathtubs are never deep enough and if the water's hot enough, it makes the book pages get all wrinkly. Either, although morning means my hair doesn't get my pillow all wet.
20. Best movie you've seen in the past month? X2 (I think it's the only movie I've seen in the past month, although it was really good).
21. Favorite pizza topping? Eggplant and onion, or the snobby toppings that go on Lestina-type pizzas (sundried tomatoes, roasted garlic, caramelized onions, spices, etc.). Or weird toppings like the pear / gorgonzola / salad pizza at California Pizza Kitchen (mmmmm) or the pizzas from Leonardo's in A2.
22. Chips or popcorn? No real preference - it depends on what I want at the time.
23. What color lipstick do you usually wear? specifically? None, normally. When I get dressed up, usually something cranberryish or as close to my lip color as I can find. It usually ends up being too dark.
24. Have you ever smoked peanut shells? What?
25. Have you ever been in a beauty pageant? No, although I was in a volunteer fashion show once when I was little.
26. Orange Juice or apple? Either, as long as they're fresh squeezed (for apple = from a real ciderey). Neither, usually, because water is better for me.
27. Who was the last person you went out to dinner with and where did you dine? Sitdown - my parents and grandfather at a cajun cafe in A2. Takeout - with
arawen from Demos.
28. Favorite type chocolate bar? Lindt 70% dark; Aero bars from Canada; Symphony milk chocolate. I would like to try less mainstream chocolate at some point...
29. When was the last time you voted at the polls? The last major election (governor, etc.).
30. Last time you ate a homegrown tomato? Last summer, from my parents' tomato plants.
31. Have you ever won a trophy? Yes - Forensics (extemporaneous speaking), Softball (high school team), SAT test results in middle school (a bit silly).
32. Are you a good cook? I can follow good recipes, and every once in a while I can make things up and they taste pretty good. I think I'd know better if I had a decent kitchen.
33. Do you know how to pump your own gas? Of course. I didn't know that people didn't know how to do that until I came out here.
34. Ever order an article from an infomercial? Yes - I ordered something once from the Home Shopping Network, but I ended up sending it back. I've also ordered a few things after seeing them on infomercials and then doing more research (and buying them elsewhere), but I'm not sure that counts.
35. Sprite or 7-up? Sprite, but I don't really like carbonated beverages most of the time.
36. Have you ever had to wear a uniform to work? When I worked for UNet in college, we had to wear special shirts for the beginning of school while we were setting up people's computers. Otherwise, just corporate casual.

38. Ever throw up in public? Sort of - it was a public place, but no one else was around (I hope).
39. Would you prefer being a millionaire or find true love? Ok. I buy into "true love" in books and movies but not in real life, because nothing is perfect and if you keep looking for perfect true love, you're just going to miss out on everything that's really good but not quite perfect (I'm sort of a theoretical romantic, I guess :) ). But this question is really about choosing money or nebulous people stuff, so I choose nebulous people stuff.
40. Do you believe in love at first sight? Lust and attraction? Yes. Love? Love is much more complex...
41. Ever call a 1-900 number? No.
42. Can ex's be friends? Yes, with time and patience.
43. Who was the last person you visited in a Hospital? A doctor? I haven't visited anyone in a hospital in a long time (which both is good and means that I live too far away to visit the people I knew who were in the hospital). Actually, I think
arawen's grandfather.
44. Did you have a lot of hair when you were a baby? Supposedly, I was born with tons of dark tufty hair and proceeded to rub a bunch of it off in my baby carriage. The new hair that grew in looked better, anyway.
45. What message is on your answering machine? The supposedly temporary message I created when I was setting up voicemail and needed to have *something*. It's boring.

54. favorite band no one has heard of? The Changelings (probably)
55. What game show would you want to go on? Lingo (I guess)
56. last music you listened to on your computer? Random Jpop - I'm trying to figure out which CDs to order.
57. If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? Just one? No, not just one! Prince Edward Island, Ireland, England / Wales, Australia, New Zealand, Vermont. Okay, so I've got a thing for Great Britain and its (former) colonies.

*blink blink* I haven't been there in years. Maybe even a decade.
But yes - they're quite good...
(I used to have a T-shirt with "Zingerman's" on it amidst lots of swirly neon. :-)

I can't help you out with the other ones but my parents live in Vermont and love company, if you wanted to come up for a weekend sometime. So long as you're not allergic to cats, clutter, Catholics, or children it's a nice place to be. Cute little town. Some nice little hikes in the area. What were you looking for Vermont-wise?
