It turns out that my college friend (from freshman year) who lives in Seattle and who visited Boston a couple of weeks ago but with whom I wasn't able to get in touch (my fault) is free tomorrow night for dinner! It's funny how I was sad that I didn't get to see her while she was out on the East Coast, and now we're unexpectedly in the same situation, only reversed. Only not, because we're actually going to see each other.

I'm very proud of myself for actually going ahead and contacting her instead of feeling guilty that I didn't get to see her in Boston (because I didn't check the voicemail in time) and scared that she'd be mad at me (of course she wasn't).

Wow, I write really long sentences when I'm tired, and I think some of them are nonsensical. Bed now.

[rant] I don't understand why people get so defensive about being knowledgeable and needing to be right! One of the people in training was talking about registering a new domain name, and stated that it would cost $60 for two years. Having recently registered a name myself (at gandi.net, highly recommended so far), I know for a fact that you only have to pay about $22 for two years - $11 and change per year, including parking, forwarding, etc. I mentioned that he should check them out. However, he basically brushed me off and went ahead on his own. He can throw away his money if he wants. It just gets me a little upset when people brush off what I'm saying because they just *know* that they're right, even though they're really not. [/rant]

(Written really fast and probably not that well written because I'm trying to pay attention to training at the same time. I just needed to vent.)
