civic duties call
Sep. 10th, 2002 11:55 pmThere's an election a week away, and not only do I not know who I want to vote for, but the only thing I know is on the ballot is the Gubernatorial primary, because it's big and advertised. Actually, I'd have to know about that anyway, because we've been called at least three times by Republican party pollsters (the last time was the only time I had the honor of answering the phone, at which point I told them that nobody here votes Republican and hung up on them - unimaginative but effective, and I'm not even going to try arguing the merits of the Green Party or considering the candidates themselves instead of the party affiliation ).
So now I have to figure out what's going on, and the Boston Globe doesn't seem to deign to put out a cheatsheet for my dinky suburb. Maybe I should pickup a copy of the Tab for once...
