better

After my bout of self-pity, last night turned out to be surprisingly amusing. First, we had taped a bit of the news from a few days ago, as the newscaster had quoted Skippy and he wanted a movie of it, so I got to play around with something technical (yet *not broken*) for a little while. We finally figured out iMovie export settings that got us a viewable movie file less than 1 MB in size (his parents only have dial-up). Then, we decided to make midnight peanut butter brownies, so we went out to Stop and Shop (shopping is so much more fun when done around 1 am, for some reason :) ) and baked and watched the first part of Kiki's Delivery Service. I thought it might not have enough action for Paladin, but he said that he wasn't getting bored, so it was all good. Would have watched the second half, but arawen was asleep and I was nodding off, as it was after 2am, so they'll have to come back and watch the rest another time.

It's funny how when I I figure I should just relax and not worry so much, things turn out just fine.
