I have decided to take election day off work so that I can try and help in New Hampshire (and the day after, so I can recover from celebration or disaster).

So far, I have expressed interest with America Votes! (the real one, not the possibly-ballot-shredding imposters), and I can check in with Skippy at the DNC also to see if he knows of any volunteering info.

(I'm not really looking for any specific feedback from this post, unless 1) you would like to share a good election day volunteering idea [Presidential race], or 2) you are also interested in / going to volunteer and would like company.)

ETA: I didn't mean the note on commenting to read harshly - I just meant that I wasn't trolling for "yay you!" or politics posts. Feel free to comment if you want. :)

[livejournal.com profile] briar_pipe and I had been planning to do something along these lines the weekend before the election. If that falls through, I'd be interested in helping out on election day proper, though lacking a car I'd have to make phone-calls and such.

Moveon.org is also doing a get-out-the-vote thing.

but I DID want to say "yay you!" Volunteering is such a great thing to do. I'm feeling like a jerk myself for not doing more when i'm so close to pennsylvania. well, not really THAT close, but decently so.
