yet another attempt to remember stuff

To do tonight:
1) Try not to get any more sick. I hate being sick over vacation.
2) Finish (start) helping to clean out basement area so that boiler can be removed / installed tomorrow (yay!!).
3) Go through papers / pay bills.
4) Transfer money to joint account so that we have enough money to pay plumber AND the mortgage this month.
5) Start entering items into the dvd / cd / book lists.
6) Finalize Radio Shack stuff now that I think I've found the rest of the receipts (whew).
The ants are resisting our attempts at genocide and invading new and peculiar spaces (the cap of my face soap, random appearances on computer keyboards with no apparent way of getting there), so extermination may go back on the "big important house tasks" list. *sigh*
Current big items list:
1) Plumbing - hopefully done by Thanksgiving
2) Gutters - cheaper in December / January
3) Tree work - cheaper in December / January
4) Clear drain outside basement door - might get done this weekend (unsure)
5) Extermination / crawl space work (see also basement rehab below)
6) Buy / install hood for new stove
7) Tarp roof on shed
8) Fix screening on chimney cap (replace cap?)
Secondary big items list:
Table + chairs (~60" expandable to 80"+)
Small couch for living room
Microwave cart
Disposal
New toilet for downstairs bathroom (works, but we hate it)
Clean out / waterproof / patch concrete floor in basement
Continue wiring work
Insulate (windows, attic - I'm not even putting the pipe dream of new windows on here)
Seal / finish floor in media room
Caulk where needed (bathroom, kitchen)
And all of this is why I tend to stare at
arawen's mother blankly when she asks what our decorating scheme is. My only goal right now is to get as many of the big items out of the way as I can - decorating is not vital.
