whispercricketI've been going through some papers, and I found a silly poem that I wrote a while ago. Adding it to my journal for posterity (and, of course, your ridicule :) )...
I wish I was a penguin
sailing on the seas
'cause penguins go where penguins will
to book sales and teas
I wish I was a magpie
floating on the breeze
flying up and flying down
and crashing into trees
I wish I was a zebra
with stripes so long and thin
then I would find a little hat
and wear it as a pin
I wish I was an aardvark
stuck beneath the ice
sleeping calmly in my cave
so cool and so nice
I wish I was another aardvark
not stuck beneath the ice
I would frolic and play all day
with cannibals and mice
