I'm trying to make space by actually getting rid of discard dvds. I don't feel like dealing with eBay, and I was going to mail them to DigitalEyes, but I figured it was worth checking first to see if anyone I know wants anything I'm getting rid of. I've tried to price under the DigitalEyes trade-in price, but please let me know if you'd like to buy something but think it's overpriced (I hate pricing things). Also, to be fair, I've tried to mention if better versions are or will be available. To the best of my knowledge, all of these discs are in fine condition, and I'm happy to allow disc testing.

Anime (full series)
Evangelion vol 1-8 (full 26 episode series; Platinum version being released starting this summer) - $60 or $8 each
Kurogane Communication (has a brick collection but the individual disc set is much nicer) - $18 or $7 each

Anime (single disc)
Angel Sanctuary - $8
Moldiver - $5
Nadia - Secret of Blue Water disc 1 - $7

Movies (new release)
Mona Lisa Smile - Let me know (Wellesley or other interested people) if you want to borrow it to see the scenery / extras - $7

Movies
Addicted to Love - $4
Alice in Wonderland (Disney but not the Masterpiece edition) - $7
Almost Famous - $4
Babylon 5: The Gathering / In the Beginning (replacement is being released) - $4
Ballet Shoes (based on the Noel Streatfeild book) - $5
How the Grinch Stole Christmas 2-disc SE (live action; have two copies) - $3
How to Marry a Millionaire - $4
Jim Henson's Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story - $4
Jumanji (non-SE) - $5
One Hour Photo (fullscreen) - $3
Serendipity - $5

Curses! I wanted the Eva, too. There's no way I can afford it retail in the forseeable future. Ah, well. tpau beat me to it fair and square.

I wanted it too, but $60 is more than I can afford with the baby right now. Phooey!

Considering I'm currently unemployed, $60 is technically more than I can afford, too, so I guess its just as well.

your mention of that website will be useful, though. I'd never heard of it before. [livejournal.com profile] ladyarren and I are building our DVD collection as budget allows, and we've had to hold off on getting the 4th and 5th seasons of Babylon 5 because we couldn't afford them at regular retail prices. We got the first 3 at BJs, but they only stock new releases, really, and we missed our chance with the 4th season. This site isn't quite as cheap, but its alot better than the $100 they would cost elsewhere.

I fail to see what they can possibly be adding in this upgrade short of a section of deleted scenes involving Shinji and Kaoru expressing their *caugh* friendship *caugh* in more intimate ways that could possibly be worth repurchasing a set of DVD's that you allready own. Don't give in to nasty greedy marketing techniques.
